My watercolor classes focus on techniques in painting still life, landscape, botanical and abstract subjects.

Winter term watercolor class registration is open at the New Art Center and at the Mosesian Center for the Arts

Beginning Watercolor Classes, in-person only

Tuesdays, starting January 6, 12:45 PM to 2:45 PM, no class 1/20. 5 sessions at the New Art Center in Newtonville, MA.

Thursdays, starting January 8, 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, no class 1/22. 5 sessions at the Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA.

Intermediate Watercolor Classes, online and in-person

In-person, Tuesdays, starting January 6, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, no class 1/20. 5 sessions at the New Art Center in Newtonville, MA.

Online, Mondays, starting January 5, 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM, no class on 1/20 and 2/16. 6 sessions on Zoom. Register at the New Art Center.

Online, Mondays, starting January 5, 12:30 PM to 3 PM, no class on 1/29 and 2/16. 6 sessions on Zoom. Register at the New Art Center.

Demonstrations for beginner classes are done in-person at the beginning of class. Demonstrations for intermediate classes will combine live demos and new pre-recorded videos that students can watch as often as they wish. Independent project sessions will give students a chance to develop projects of their choice. Students who prefer more directed study will have access to video demos in the Tutorials section of this website. Students who have to miss a class can work from videos on their own time and submit images of work in progress for feedback at a time convenient for them..
